January was a GREAT month for Wolf Regime!!  With the release of our charity single 'Her Divinity' and the fantastic launch night which packed out the Grand Social in Dublin.   Looks like 2013 is gonna be something special!!  This month we enter the studio for some pre-production work on the album.. In March we begin our 'No Control Tour' which will take in Kildare on the 9th and Cork on the 16th. April will take us to Belfast & Drogheda on the 26th and in May we take on Limerick on the 18th then a very special show back home in Dublin.

All dates & venues can be found right here.

Wolf Regime - What's Next?

So, After a hectic but enjoyable couple of months recording, mixing and rehearsing for the launch of our latest single 'Her Divinity' which was a massive success, The Regime marches on!!

We re-enter the studio in February to record a couple of tracks to be included on the album.

The first, 'Brace For Impact', is based around one of Conor's riffs and is raw, in your face metal! Reminiscent perhaps of early thrash, it begins with a blistering solo from Sean moving into a tom filled groove and growling vocal with choppy guitars, bursting forward into a chanting chorus.

Keith's lyrics in 'Brace For Impact' explore the relationships between the brain and the mind, the body and the soul. Heavy stuff indeed! (In more ways than one)

The second track, 'Cry Vengeance', is a fast paced, melodic, riff-filled anthem which slows for a passion-filled chorus, as bass and drums bounce together solidly. A definite nod to the NWBHM.

Another lyrically 'heavy' track, 'Cry Vengeance', was written by Keith straight from the heart and is directly aimed at the evil side of some organised religions. Drawing from his own past experiences and emotions, this song is filled with poetic anger and questions which have yet to be answered.

On the 'live' side of things, Wolf Regime will certainly be on the march in 2013!

Plans are underway to invade several Irish cities within the next couple of months; including Cork, Galway, Belfast, Kilkenny, Limerick and Drogheda!

As soon as all dates have been confirmed they'll be posted right here!

We have recorded a Single called Her Divinity at Loop Studios in Dublin on 1st December 2012. The Lyrics were inspired by Torrie and Katie Brady aged 7 and 9; the 2 surviving daughters of Donna Brady aged 26, who died in October of this  year after a long and humbling battle with cancer.

The Single is dedicated to Donna and is available to buy online and at the official Charity Single Launch Event on 18th January 2013. All proceeds will go to the Irish Cancer Society.

On Friday 18th January 2013 at 8pm the doors of the upstairs venue of the Grand Social in Dublin City Centre will open with a fantastic night of music and entertainment from Wolf Regime and Stone Trigger and a special guest appearance to launch Her Divinity. Entry is €7 and will go to the Irish Cancer Society.

The band also hope that the CD will help to highlight the vital free services which the Irish Cancer Society provide to families across the country.

Donna was a niece of one of the band members and he decided to create a song in Donna’s memory quickly after she passed away. It’s lyrics, inspired by Donna’s daughters, are positive and will hopefully be inspiring to people who have lost loved ones to, or have been affected by Cancer.

Her Divinity is the band’s second single and they are hoping that this song and its message will reach as many people as possible.

New Material, New direction??

Since Wolf Regime started, we've prided ourselves on not being limited to any one genre of Rock or Metal. For example, there are the 'sing along' anthem stompers such as 'She Loves To Rock' & 'In The City' and there are the heavier, more technical Metal tracks such as 'Awakening' & 'For No One'.

Lately though, in the rehearsal studio, a strange and magical thing seems to be happening... Perhaps we are 'defining' our 'sound'. Maybe it's just a phase but whilst jamming some new riffs, mostly written by Keith on bass, there seems to be certain themes and variations on themes reoccuring, incorporating a lot of appegios courtesy of Sean and counter guitar harmonies courtesy of Conor and keeping it all steadily together the powerful indigenous backbeat of Luca.

The new tracks, such as 'No Control' & 'Frame Of Mind' are heavily influenced by baroquian classical pieces aswell as heavier guitar sounds and more furious basslines, whilst keeping that rock groove.

We're loving the new sound and hope you will too!! Which is not to say that we will not continue to blast out the stompers for ya'll. We know what you like and will always deliver!!!  News of live performances coming soon!!!

Windmill Lane Recording Sessions to begin soon..

The band is entering the famous Windmill Lane Studios, Dublin in June to begin work on some tracks to be considered for Wolf Regime's debut release, later in 2012.

We're all very excited to be laying down our material in the same studio that has been used by some of our favourite artistes.. AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, U2, etc.

It's gonna be an absolute blast and we'll be documenting the whole experience for your viewing pleasure!!
